ALTHOUGH a tad foggy, the weather held to enable St Petroc's School, Bude, to host their annual cross-country event recently on Summerleaze Downs.
This year saw great improvements to the course and the organisation of the day, with the children finishing their races in front of a roaring crowd on the Bude and North Cornwall Cricket Club grounds, before celebrating with sandwiches at Rosie's Café.
The races were swift, with strong performances from all who took part, and the atmosphere was vibrant with motivating and excited cheers from all the spectators.
This year there were particularly strong performances from Blundells, Shebbear, Bradworthy and Altarnun.
However, St Petroc's under 11 girls were the epitome of team work and competitive spirit, with podium finishes in the individual and team events.
