THE annual inspection of the Holsworthy detachment of the Devon Army Cadet Force (ACF) took place recently.

Thirty-seven cadets were on parade for the visit by Major Ian Gilbert, commanding officer of B company Devon ACF.

During the final parade several presentations were made. LCpl Will Hart received the NAS bronze navigation certificate and LCpl Kelly Davies bronze Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.

Former cadet Staff Sjt Jack Heal paid a visit to the unit to collect his silver DofE Award.

LCpls Izzy May and Ben McKenzie received their 2-star Army proficiency badges.

LCpl Harry Fackrell received promotion to full Cpl with cadets Kaya Kirby and Alisha Squirrell being made up to LCpl.

There were senior 4-star badges for Sjt Kieran Fraser and Cpls James Doyle and Sam Williams.

Major Gilbert praised the cadets for their achievements at all levels and for continued involvement in local community activities.
