THERE was an angry reaction to one councillor's resignation from Camelford Town Council at the recent meeting on May 15.
The 'Post' revealed last week that three councillors were to resign from the town council — the Deputy Mayor Aaron Scawn, and Cllrs Brian Lush and Eddie McCormick.
At the meeting, only Mr McCormick's resignation letter was listed as an agenda item.
Mayor, Cllr Rob Rotchell read the letter to councillors and the few public who were also in attendance.
In his letter, Mr McCormick said: "Having read the agenda for the meeting to be held on May 15, I am increasingly concerned at the direction the town council appears to be heading. Personal agendas are apparently becoming more prevalent and arbitrary decisions being made without the full knowledge and approval of the entire council.
"The transparency promised when most councillors were elected in May 2007 has become shrouded and is under threat. I genuinely fear a return to the unpopular policies and misguided tactics that were employed by the previous administration."
