HOLSWORTHY'S St Peter's Fair Week was blessed with hot summer weather, not experienced in Holsworthy for many a year.
On Wednesday, July 10, St Peter's Day itself began with the proclamation of the opening of the fair by the town crier accompanied by members of the Court Leet on the site of the old tree of Holsworthy at the entrance to Fry Street.
This was followed by the bread weighing ceremony and breakfast in aid of CLIC Sergeant in the Memorial Hall.
Throughout the morning the pannier market bustled with shoppers and entertainers who included the Stannary Jazz Men and a cooking demonstration by Dan the Fish Man.
The window dressing competition on the theme of 'A Day in the Life of the Fair' was judged by Mary Barfett and John Nettles, and won by Kerry Smith of Two Peas in a Pod' whose display can be seen in the Post Office window.
