Nine year old Alice Grimshaw handled her Launceston grandmother's two Welsh Springer Spaniels at the Royal Cornwall Show and picked up first prize in the Any Variety Gundog Brace/Team Class. Mrs Sandra Blackford said her granddaughter had done very well at the show handling mother and son Amblelight Parhelia and nine month old Amblelight Saiph, especially since she does not have a dog of her own. Mrs Blackford, who breeds Welsh Springer Spaniels, said: "The fact that she doesn't have a dog of her own and she's learnt from just watching is just great." Mrs Blackford was also thrilled that her granddaughter had recently qualified as a junior handler.
