Bude athlete Alan Littlejohns reached a landmark in his running career on Sunday. Representing Launceston Road Runners he ran the Gloucester Marathon in a time of 3hr 50.30.
This race marked an impressive 150 times that he has completed the 26miles 385yards. He has raced as far afield as Hawaii as well as the original marathon course in Greece. However, one of his favourites is the tough Cornish marathon which, this year, was his 149th marathon.
61 year old Alan who competes in a race almost every week, regularly runs on the coast path with his training partner Billy the Jack Russell.
