BRADWORTHY surrendered a half time lead as they fell to a consecutive 4-1 defeat.
Both sides started brightly and played some neat passing football in the opening exchanges. Bradworthy's midfield trio of Gary Clarke, Michael Sampson and Carlo Chandler were outstanding in the first 45 minutes as they gave the opposition no time to settle on the ball, and it was no surprise when the visitors took the lead. Luke Potter's pinpoint left foot free kick was flicked into the net by Chandler.
Ammies responded well and Brad' keeper Will Radford was forced into three fine saves to keep his side in front, one stop in particular was quite brilliant, plucking the ball one handed off the toe of the onrushing Ammies forward Scott Sharp. Man of the match Radford was in outstanding form and deserved the praise heaped on him by both sides' players and spectators at the final whistle.
Sharp had his revenge minutes into the second half, racing onto a long hopeful pass and, this time, successfully rounding Radford and rolling the ball into the empty net. Bradworthy's sluggish start to the second half was punished as Sharp found room to fire in low and hard from the edge of the box after Bradworthy allowed Ammies too much time and space to work an opening.
The wind was firmly knocked out of Bradworthy's sails and they failed to respond. It was little surprise when the lead was doubled, Bradworthy poorly defended a corner and it was tapped in at close range at the second attempt.
It was a shambolic 20 minutes for Brad' but they slowly dragged their way back into the match.
Carlo Chandler sliced wide before Toby Curtis drove into the box and forced the 'keeper to save with his legs and younger brother Liam was just as unlucky with a dipping right footed half volley which narrowly cleared the angle of post and bar. Ben Curtis fired a left foot volley over from a tight angle before spurning a golden opportunity to reduce the deficit by firing over from six yards. Luke Potter forced the home 'keeper into another save before Greg Holland capitalised on some poor defending to score with the last kick of the game.
Despite the scoreline Bradworthy's centre half pairing of Danny Bryant and Damian French had done a fine job of keeping the Ammie's tricky forward line quiet over the 90 minutes but manager Steve Jenkins was left frustrated at the errors his side made to gift three points to their high flying opponents.
