MEMBERS of a dog training and agility group recently presented a donation to the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association. Kathleen Adams and members of her Launcells/Bude Dog Training and Agility Group were joined by members of the Bickle family at the presentation at the Preston Gate, Poughill on June 13. Tony Webb with his guide dog Gunner accepted £3,000 on behalf of Guide Dogs. The money was donated in memory of Michael Adams, Penny Bickle and Emma, a Springer Spaniel owned by Sandra Hawkett. Michael, dog trainer Kathleen's late husband, had done great work behind the scenes supporting the training group since it began in 1988. For the full report, and a round up of the area news and sport, see this week's edition of the Post.
