AS previously mentioned in the Post, Launceston is one of nine towns in Cornwall hosting events to mark the G7 summit.
As part of these events, Launceston Chamber of Commerce will be hosting activities for young people, including colouring competitions, window shield trail and fancy dress competition to name just a few. There will also be a competition for young people to build a model – the brief is to make a 3D model either to celebrate the heritage of Launceston or Climate Change.
This is open to any age group, but entries must show the age clearly on the model.
The date of the weekend is June 11, 12 and 13.
Entries should be taken to the Gateway Centre (next to the library) on Friday, June 11, between 12pm and 2pm.
Launceston Town Councillor, Margaret Young said: “I hope that this project produces some spectacular models! Thank you.”
