Monday, January 19 was supposedly 'Blue Monday', the name given to the third Monday of January and, purportedly, the most depressing day of the year — but nobody had told the senior citizens of Holsworthy that!

For many years, Holsworthy and District Lions Club has hosted a senior citizens' lunch at the end of January, something for people to look forward to after the stress and rush of the festive season.

This year's lunch took place on Saturday, January 24 and the Lions invited older members of the community to attend a three-course lunch at the town's Memorial Hall.
