A NEW primary school could be on the cards for Launceston, bringing new education facilities to the town.

Following the proposal of a major residential development at Hay Common, Stourscombe, Launceston, it has been reported that the developers, Azules Ltd, may also build a new primary school.

At the recent Launceston Town Council meeting, Cornwall Councillor for Launceston Central, Alex Folkes said that there had been some contention with the council and local council for a new school.
