WOBURN Residents’ Association has purchased two further grit bins for the estate, thanks to another grant from Liberal Democrat Cornwall Councillor for Launceston South Jade Farrington’s Community Fund.
The bins have been placed at either end of Woburn Road and bring the total on the estate to four.
Lorraine Beale, treasurer, said: “There was enough money in the grant to enable the association to keep the bins topped up for quite a while.
“Appreciative residents turned out for the official handover and whilst it is hoped there will be no need to use the salt it is reassuring to know that it is available should the winter be harsh.
“As ever the residents are very grateful to Jade for her help at all times.”
Cllr Farrington said: “It’s always a pleasure to work with Woburn Residents’ Association to help provide amenities for people in the local area. The group is extremely proactive and practical and is a credit to the town.
“If any other organisation or club would like to apply for funding from my Community Chest or discuss a project then please contact me at [email protected]”
