AROUND 160 people enjoyed a children's Christmas party at the Memorial Hall in Holsworthy on Sunday week.
The event, organised by Holsworthy and District Lions, featured to traditional party games, a disco provided by professional DJ and Lions Club member Andy King and a Punch and Judy show — not forgetting a visit from Father Christmas at the end of the party so that all the children went home with a present.
The next major event on the Lions' calendar is for the slightly older residents of Holsworthy.
For the last five years Holsworthy and District Lions have, on alternate years, either hosted a senior citizens' dinner or organised a trip for them to the annual Holsworthy Amateur Theatrical Society pantomime. This January it will be the turn of the senior citizens' dinner.
