The Launceston Town Square Events Team will be holding a Medieval Day on Saturday, May 23 in the town square and castle green.
Come and join in the fun as the castle green and square are brought to life with Medieval militia, living crafts demonstrations, a hog roast and a Medieval storyteller. Also, for your entertainment local dignitaries will take turns in the stocks!
A parade from the square to the castle will start at 10am followed by battles on the green and three performances in the square by a Medieval storyteller.
Lorna Lane group Chairperson said: "We are very happy to have Kernow Levy attending the town as they are a local re-enactment group who dress in Cornish colours! It is great to be able to celebrate the town's Medieval origins, whilst also providing a fun day for all the family.
"We are also extremely pleased that the group has been able to work with English Heritage to make the event bigger and better and utilise two of the town's community spaces. We very much hope that residents of the town and visitors from further afield will come and enjoy the entertainments on the day."
