ARGUABLY a forgotten part of the town when it comes to trade, Bude's Lower Wharf can be considered a haven for artisan talent.

A number of businesses with foundations in craft and creative skills adorn this picturesque part of Bude; the relatively new eco-buildings supplementing the historic harbourside.

And yet for all its qualities, one man feels more can be done to let people know what is available in this charming part of town.

Proprietor of Wharf Woodcraft Neville Padgham is that man, and he is continuing his campaign to bring attention to Lower Wharf with the return of his Farmers and Craft Market. Established three years ago in an attempt to stimulate shoppers' interest in the area, it will be running every Friday from April 6, through September 28 in 2012.

"The idea behind the market is to complement the craft environment we have here and get people along (to Lower Wharf), " he said.
