CAFE Bellini’s in Bude has pledged its support to Bude Coastguard Rescue Team.

The much anticipated draw for the Coastguard Association raffle held by Anna and Adam Covell at Cafe Belini’s took place on Saturday, January 5. Bude’s community of businesses had generously donated some terrific prizes, which ranged from paddleboard lessons, a spa day for two, car valet, car MOTs and cream teas, to some of the artisan Cornish and West Country delicatessen products that Cafe Bellini’s now stock.

Several members of the Bude Coastguard team came along to help with the draw and afterwards Neil Cheeseborough, the senior officer, gave a few words thanking Anna and Adam, all of the businesses who donated and for the people of Bude who had bought raffle tickets.

He explained that even though the coastguard service is funded by the government, the Coastguard Association has to raise its own funding to support retired and serving coastguards who are suffering from hardship or injury.
