FOLLOWING reports of a missing three-legged Chihuahua, though to have been stolen from the St Clether area, near Launceston, the police have confirmed the dog has sadly been found deceased.
Police were appealing for witnesses and anyone with information in connection with a report of a dog being stolen from the area of St Clether at approximately 11.45am on Saturday, June 21.
Unfortunately the Chihuahua, described as brown with three legs, has since been found deceased but the police say the circumstances are not suspicious.
A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson confirmed: “In connection with our previous message of a dog that was reported as stolen from the Launceston area, we are no longer looking to locate as the dog was sadly found deceased, the circumstances are not suspicious and no further investigation is needed.
“Thank you for your assistance.”
