AN 80-year-old man from Callington has died following a collision on January 18, at around 3.10pm in Tavistock.

The collision involved a white Fiat 500 and a pedestrian on Plymouth Road, Tavistock.

Officers from the Devon and Cornwall’s Alliance roads policing team attended along with response officers from Tavistock, a forensic collision investigator and scene of crime officer.

A full investigation of the scene took place and officers worked to establish the cause of the collision. Police officers expressed their thanks to the public for their patience while they investigated the scene.

The pedestrian, an 80-year-old man from the Callington area, was flown to Derriford Hospital by air ambulance with life threatening injuries but sadly passed away on Wednesday morning, January 22.
