FIVE defendants have entered pleas in hearings related to the alleged murder of a young man last year.

Callum Hill, 22, died on March 28, 2020, following an incident at Kit Hill, near Callington, two days previously.

At Truro Crown Court on Tuesday morning of this week, Andrew Hatrey, 38, and Kristian Humphries, 30, of Gunnislake, both pleaded not guilty to a charge of murder.

Alexander ‘Billy’ Humphries (no relation to above), 27, of Callington, who had been charged with assault causing grievous bodily harm with intent against Andrew Hatrey on the same day, pleaded not guilty to the charge.

Hatrey, Kristian Humphries, Alexander ‘Billy’ Humphries, and Daniel Humphries, 24, pleaded not guilty to a charge of conspiracy to commit violent disorder on March 26 2020.

A trial is set to take place in August.

In a separate hearing related to the same incident at Kit Hill, Terri Underwood, 40, of St Ive, pleaded guilty to a charge of perverting the course of justice.
