POLICE have received a report of theft of around £900 worth of alcohol from a shop in Okehampton on Tuesday, March 8.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson confirmed to the Post: “I have it as a supermarket in Okehampton and the theft of champagne and whisky totalled approaching £900 in value.”

It is reported that four or five males entered the shop, a male selected bottles of high value alcohol which were concealed, and then left.

The spokesperson added: “We ask for shops to be vigilant and inform staff.”
