LAUNCESTON Tae Kwon-Do held their colour belt grading on Saturday, February 9 with nine students participating.

A fantastic standard was achieved by all with Nadine Wright and John Titley receiving A passes.

The Grading Trophy was presented to Wright, who has now received an A pass for all nine colour belt gradings she has attended, the next being her black belt.

Grand Master Michael Dew, ninth degree black belt and vice-chairman of the Tae Kwon-Do Association of Great Britain officiated.

Students who graded were: Nadine Wright, (A pass and Grading Trophy), John Titley (A pass), Leland Hardy, Minnie Cartwright, Matilda Matthews, Darren Cartwright, Emma Fraser, Kaitlyn Garrod and Lindsey Matthews.

Thanks were given to the black belts of the club who gave up their Saturday morning to help out. Refreshments were provided by Helen Naylor, assisted by Lucy Hunt, all proceeds of which were donated to club funds.

Launceston Tae Kwon Do is a friendly group with members of all ages and abilities. Training sessions are held in the Old Hall at Launceston College at 6-7pm and 7-8pm on Mondays, and in the New Hall from 7-8pm and 8-9pm on Fridays.
