LAUNCESTON Tennis Club held their AGM and Annual Presentation Evening on Saturday March 3 at the Eagle House Hotel, writes Sarah Cooke.

After an excellent buffet supper the trophies for the 2011 Season were presented by the president of the club, Mike Warne.

It was an excellent summer season for the club.

The name of Launceston is on the Holman Cup for the first time. This is a county competition for one male doubles pairing and was won this year by Kevin and Graham Worth.

In the club competitions, the Men's Singles Trophy went to Jake Horton for the third year running.

The Boys' Singles was won this year by Luke Roberts.

Shannon Sandy won both the Ladies' and the Girls' Singles with her sister, Tamsin, as runner-up.

Doubles trophies went to Kevin Worth & Mark Cox (men's), Sarah Statton & Suzanne Cole (ladies') and Barry Frayn & Emma Stewart (mixed).
