CONGRATULATIONS were given to all of last season's trophy winners, members and contributors by chairman Dave Parrott at Stratton Bowling Club's latest meeting.

The club is in rude health, as confirmed by secretary Bruce Peardon. He stated that membership is strong, with around 90 full club members, with five taking part in short mat competition only and 16 social members.

Despite having problems with the green during the season, it has totally recovered thanks to frit-fly treatment, while a new kitchen has been installed and new lockers will soon be fitted in the ladies' locker room.

A proposal that members should have coloured shirts was also passed at the meeting, along with the establishment of a sub-committee to look into this.

The new management committee for 2015 has been announced, with Ray Jennings confirmed as president; Dave Parrott, chairman; Bruce Peardon, secretary; Derek Mountjoy, treasurer; Gerald Maynard, match secretary; and Dave Clarke, competition secretary.
