ELLWOOD Reserves took the North Gloucestershire League Division One title without losing all season.
The side's final statistics were: played 24, won 22, drew two and lost none with a goal difference of 78 and a final points tally of 68 out of a possible 72.
To find Ellwood's last defeat in the league you have to go back to April 30 last year when they lost 0-2 at home to eventual champions Redbrook Rovers.
With an unassailable lead over runners-up Ruardean Hill Rangers, secretary of the North Gloucestershire League Allan Hale was on hand to present the Division One trophy to Ellwood in their last game of the season.
The only question was: could they avoid defeat at the hands of visitors United Longhope and finish the season undefeated?
The answer was emphatic with a 6-0 thrashing of the visitors thanks to Mike Nelson and Ethan Wilkins who both scored twice and one each from Alex Porter and Mark Wayman.
The league trophy joins the J O Roberts Cup at Ellwood after the Reserves beat Premier Division Huntley in the final.
The silverware was secured with two goals from Mark Weyman and one each from James Weyman and substitute Ethan Wilkins.
