THE winners of the Truscotts Bude and District Quiz League divisions were presented with their trophies at the organisation's presentation evening and charity quiz evening recently.

Shields were presented to the Division One winners Bencoolen A, who had waited 20 years to achieve the top spot and Division Two winners Social Club B at the Brendon Arms.

Unfortunately only three of the Social Club B team were able to attend on the night, but their delight at collecting the trophy was clear for all to see.

This year's Sportsmanship Award was shared between The Bush Inn, Morwenstow, and The Preston Gate Inn, Poughill.

As usual, the league ran a charity quiz on the evening, with 13 teams attending.

Social Club B were the winners of the Jan Pethick Memorial Trophy, with the Brendon Bandits finishing in second place.

The evening raised a grand total of £712 Children's Hospice South West.
