BUDE Tennis Club's 16-year-old Alex Hunter (right) won the under 18 title at the Westward Ho! Ratings and Rankings Tournament, which concluded its finals day on Saturday, June 9. This is an annual tournament that attracts many competitors from the South West and beyond. Alex had some tough early rounds to make it to the final, where he beat Matthew Thomas in a close and hard-fought match, eventually winning 6-3, 7-6 (9-7).
