LAUNCESTON man Davey Green has returned from California, having completed his aim of running three marathons in three days.

The events made up his 70th, 71st and 72nd attempts at completing a gruelling 26.2 mile marathon distance.

The first run was at held Crissy Air Field and was actually a 27.5 mile ultra marathon, in which Davey finished in second place and was first male finisher in the male veteran 40 to 49 age category.
