HOT weather, two games, and a local derby meant a tough weekend of football for Bradworthy first team.
Following a good run of recent home games, Brad were feeling confident for Saturday's home fixture against Putford and after a disappointing result in the away fixture which finished with nine men left on the pitch for Bradworthy, they were most certainly out to win this one. The supporters were also up for the game and by 3 o'clock the sidelines where packed with supporters for both teams.
With any derby game you can expect a few dodgy tackles and this was no exception with both teams desperately searching for an opening goal.
Bradworthy came close after about 20 minutes when Timmy Summers whipped in a good cross that found Nick Lapham but his header was well saved by the Putford 'keeper. Putford also created some good opportunities but going into the break the scores remained level.
