CAMELFORD Football Club held their Annual Dinner and Awards night at Bowood Golf Club on Saturday, May 23 as both sides look to make big strides in the new 2015/16 season.

Chairman Ollie Rowe thanked everyone involved with the club for their hard work during the season and the first and second team managers gave their reports and announced the all important winners of the club awards.

It was difficult playing year for the club but a poor start eventually saw both teams having some good wins in the run in.

The First team lost some valuable players at the beginning of the season but recruited some new ones. This meant that the second team had to provide some players for the first team and in turn made them weaker. However, manager Sam Williams eventually got together a useful team and the season finished brightly for them.

The club have introduced a number of promising youngsters again this year with four of them representing the County Youth team. Camelford Football Club first team also won both the 'Fair Play Award' at the Peninsula League Dinner, for the best disciplinary record in the Premier Division and the 'Respect Award', voted for by Referees, for their conduct towards officials.

It is hoped that season 2015 to 2016, will show both teams riding high in their respective leagues.
