SWIMMERS from Launceston Swimming Club have again done themselves proud by winning the 3rd round of the Cornwall and West Devon League. Back in 1993 several clubs in Cornwall and Devon agreed to form a league to accommodate clubs who either were not in the Speedo League or whose swimmers were not selected for Speedo League teams but who would enjoy a competition of their own, The Cornwall and West Devon League. Such has been the popularity of the league that in 2008 membership was expanded to 16 clubs. The competition takes place over three rounds and this year's rounds took place on, Round 1: Saturday, April 26, Round 2: Saturday, May 17 and Round 3: Saturday, June 28 with each round taking place at a different venue with different teams who compete against each other.
