Liskeard sportsman Steven Simms had back to back wins at the Falmouth Sprint Triathlon last Sunday, and at the Cowman Sprint Triathlon, Milton Keynes, Bucks, the previous weekend.

The Falmouth event was the fourth in the Cornwall Triathlon Series 2015, and Steven came home in 01:12:17.

Competitors completed a 750m sea swim from Gyllyngvase Beach in the rain and wind which dragged the swimmers off course when they were trying to go around buoys out at sea.

A 23km cycle from Falmouth to Mawnan Smith and back entailed careful riding as the roads remained wet, and this was followed by a 5km run along the seafront, around Pendennis Point, back to Gyllyngvase Beach.
