BOWLS England sent a team to Launceston as part of this season's centenary celebrations at Dunheved Bowling Club last week. No less then ten different counties made up the Bowls England side, with many of the players travelling significant distances. A buffet lunch was laid on and followed by a full game. The weather tried its best to dampen things, but the match was able to be completed, with Bowls England winning by 14 shots. A fish and chip supper and sweet were well received after the game, and Dunheved Bowling Club President Peter Prynne thanked everyone for attending. For the full report, and a round-up of the area news and sport, see this week's edition of the Post.
