AFTER many requests from players who took part in the inaugural Snoopool Club Trophy Competition back in January, won by Bude’s Richard Lloyd, Snoopool is returning to Crackington Snooker Club with a new fun competition offering cash prizes for the winner and the runner-up.

The competition will be a one-frame knockout contest to be held at the club on Saturday, December 28. Participation in the competition is open to club members and non-members alike. The player’s entrance fee is £5 and registration will begin at 7pm on the night with the competition starting at 7.30pm.

Admission is free to all player guests and other supporters.

Snoopool has been busy over the last 12 months introducing the game to a number of venues. In particular The Manor House Hotel and Ashbury Hotel in Okehampton, Devon have been running in-house snoopool competitions since being introduced to the game at the beginning of the year and this has proved to be highly successful.

Likewise, Rock and District Sports Club in Rock have held various snoopool evenings which have been enjoyed and well attended and Hazel Grove Snooker Club in Manchester have also been busy promoting Snoopool to their members who have been playing it since early February.

The new sport, which combines elements from snooker and pool, has also been promoted abroad and ongoing conversations with clubs in Belgium and as far afield as Singapore and Dubai are being conducted with a view to introducing the game to hotels, sport hotels and snooker clubs alike.

UK Club Trophy tournaments are in the planning stages for 2020.

Snoopool founder, Lenios Demetriou, said: “I would like to thank Barry Bird (chairman) and all the committee members of Crackington Snooker Club for all their help and support in hosting this special event. I look forward to welcoming you all for the Snoopool One-Frame Knockout evening.”
