RUNNERS from Sir James Smith's Community School, Camelford, excelled themselves at the latest Cornwall Schools Cross Country Championships.

The races were held at Truro School.

All those who took part did so to a high standard but the stars of the show were Amy Randall, Jasmine Greenway and George Hooper who have all been selected to represent the county in the forthcoming South West School Cross Country Championships.

The Year 7 girls put on a lightening display, which led to Amy finishing in 11th place — this followed her win at the East Cornwall Championships. Amy's teammate Jasmine Greenaway finished in 13th, with Lucy Musgrave taking 16th place.

George Hooper ran in the Intermediate Boys' race, which was combined with the senior race in which he powered through the field to steal 8th place.
