BUDEHAVEN B?continued their incredible start to the season in Division Two by whitewashing their opponents for the second week in a row.
They beat North Hill B 10-0 with Ashley Taylor and Nathan Jukes winning all three singles matches without dropping a set, before doing likewise in the doubles, while David Sillifant made it six wins from six.
Budehaven C grabbed their first victory of the season with an 8-2 victory over Bridgerule A at Budehaven School.
Andrew Ward was the hosts’ star player with three victories while Anthony Ward and Chris Mill also picked up two victories.
Visiting skipper, Alan Quilter, grabbed both of Bridgerule’s wins as their tough start continues.
The other scheduled match between Launceston and Altarnun was postponed.
The only match in the top tier took place at Helland Village Hall as last year’s runners-up Helland A took on their newly-promoted B team.
Mike Fisher’s A team comfortably won 8-2 with Fisher and Ritchie Bartlett earning three straight-set victories. Jim Rickwood and Chris Baverstock replied for Helland B.
Division Three got underway last Thursday with Crackington D, Budehaven E and Budehaven F playing their first ever matches.
Crackington and Bude E fought out a close battle, with Budehaven’s Tim Orchard winning both matches in their 3-2 victory.
Cayden Gill’s league debut went well for Budehaven D as they saw off their F team.
Gill and John Gillin won 4-1 against Andrew and Ezra Jukes with Gill picking up two wins.
The clash between North Hill C and Helland C was postponed.
