Southern Two
Bude 2
Isca C 0
BUDE played in their new kit for the first time and it seemed to inspire them as they maintained their 100% start to the season with a 2-0 victory over exeter-based Isca C at the Budehaven Sports Centre.
Bude started smartly as they pressured the visitors from the start with consistent passing and probing runs towards the goal.
This resulted in a number of chances and man-of-the-match Kristof Saunders took full advantage as his scuffed shot looped nicely over the visiting keeper to give Bude the lead.
The home side continued to push forward and were soon rewarded again as a quick ball through the middle was moved swiftly out wide with a deft one-touch pass by Noah Reeves towards Jared Slade, who crossed perfectly for skipper Henry Gwynn-Thomas to fire home the second goal at the backpost.
Bude’s goal was rarely troubled in the first-half as such a good defensive performance made it extremely difficult for Isca to get close to testing home goalkeeper Andy Davis.
The second-half was a more open, scrappy affair as both teams created a number of opportunities, but neither managed to find the back of the net ensuring Bude moved onto six points from a possible six.
The North Cornwall side are on the road this Saturday as they face University of Exeter F (4.30pm), who have also won both outings so far including a 3-2 victory over Camborne School of Mines on Saturday and a 2-1 victory at Bodmin on the opening day.

A?TRIP to Exeter University was always likely to prove tough for the visitors and so it proved as the home side won by eight goals to nil.
