LAUNCESTON’S Nigel Ryall and Andy Ridgman were crowned as the Sunday Independent Snooker Pairs Handicap champions for the second time at Saltash Social Club on Friday, June 1.

Having previously won it back in 2013, Ryall and Ridgman had the difficult task of trying to take the title from the Keyham Cons pairing of Steve Brookshaw and Brian Burrows, who were bidding for their third straight title.

Playing of a -21 handicap, they won 4-3 to reclaim the trophy.

The competition is open to players from Plymouth and the surrounding South West areas.

Both men are the only Launceston players to have ever won the trophy.
