ON?SUNDAY May 15, Launceston Rugby Club’s Minis and Juniors held their end of season presentation awards.

A change to previous years saw it held in a marquee on the main pitch, with every age group from under 7 right up to an including the under 16 side in attendance which also included the under 13 and under 15 girls. Including their families there was a gathering of over 600, an excellent achievement indeed.

The sunny weather contributed to a fantastic celebration of all the hard work and determination put in by the players, coaches and parents during a season dampened severely by flooding.

Special thanks were expressed to everyone who helped and the businesses who contributed to the event’s success.

Chairman Andy Crichton said: “The day would not have been such an amazing success without the planning and organisation from the Mini/Junior’s committee who have maintained a positive attitude throughout the season, your support has been greatly appreciated.

“Enjoy your time off and I look forward to seeing you all at pre season tag and fitness in July.”
