AN ’open forum’ meeting will take place at Launceston Rugby Club next Tuesday (March 22).
The meeting is an opportunity for the current custodians to present the facts as to what is happening both on and off the pitch and to instill confidence and transparency going forward.
The club has extended an invitation to all — current club members, supporters, players, mini junior parents and coaches at every level — to the event.
In the absence of club chairman, Paul Harrison, Ian Warren will chair the meeting.
Club secretary, Simon Johnston, said: “Yes, it hasn’t been a very good season, however it hasn’t stopped people coming down and supporting what Jimmy’s been trying to do. Ian will give a vision on how things are going to pan out next season.”
In addition Roy Webb, club treasurer, will be there to answer any questions on the financial situation of the club.
Simon added: “If people ask questions, it will allow the club to answer honestly rather than skirting around the issues.”
The meeting will take place in the main clubhouse form 7pm.
