Tribute Duchy League
Bodmin 2XV 25
Launceston 2XV 31
LAUNCESTON seconds were away to Bodmin on Saturday in the first game of the Tribute Duchy League and despite playing with just 13, two of which were borrowed, produced a brilliant performance to win 31-25.
It was going to be an uphill struggle from the start with Jimmy Tucker taking three players from Thursday’s training for the first team game at Camborne and three pulling out on the morning of the game.
However, the 13 players pulled on their black shirt and played their hearts out with two tries from Gareth Williams, one from Jake Crabb and two scored by James Burden from Bodmin.
Ryan Christophers converted three of the five tries.
With Bodmin having a full 15 it made it an even more impressive performance.
