Kernow League (Group One)

Camborne School of Mines 22

Launceston Seconds 8

LAUNCESTON Seconds remain bottom of the table following a 22-8 defeat to Camborne School of Mines at Penryn RFC.

Despite conceding an early try, Launceston gradually got back into the game but couldn’t convert their pressure into any points besides Tom Sandercock’s penalty.

After the break, Camborne got on top and scored three tries to seal a fourth win from five.

The Blacks did have the last laugh as Mark Knight burrowed over from a metre out after number eight Jordan Duke was held up just short, but their wait for a second win goes on.

Their first chance to do so comes on Saturday when St Agnes, who have won just once themselves, make the trip up the A30 to Polson Bridge (2.30pm) looking for revenge from Launceston’s 18-12 victory there last month.
