LAUNCESTON seconds finished 20 points clear and undefeated in the Duchy League after winning away at St Austell on Saturday in the Plate semi-final on Saturday.
Dave Parish scored in the first-half with Tom Sandercock converting, before St Austell replied with a converted try of their own to go in 7-7 at the break.
Richard Jasper sealed the win for Mike Haines’ men in the second-half with Sandercock converting his second.
Launceston had chances to score more tries but couldn’t finish off any of their good opportunities as St Austell defended well before launching their own attacks, which
The final takes place on Bank Holiday Monday (May 7), when Launceston take on Camborne at Truro (12.30pm).
