LAUNCESTON Rugby Club’s much-anticipated floodlight project got underway on Tuesday, June 12.
The club hope the move will ensure more evening and representative matches can be hosted at Polson?Bridge and provide better quality of lighting for players at all levels of the club from the Minis and Juniors right up to first team level.
Club treasurer, Roy?Webb, said: “It has taken two years of planning and fundraising to reach this stage of the floodlight project.
“I am proud to see the first mast foundation (pictured) being excavated today.
“I would like to thank everyone that has supported and contributed to the success of this project.”
It is anticipated that the floodlights will be completed by next month.
