THE Cornish All Blacks’ South West Premier home game with Weston-super-Mare tomorrow has been postponed due to parts of the ground being underwater at Polson Bridge.

With the forecast looking poor for the rest of the week, club officials took the decision yesterday.

The seconds were also scheduled to host Hayle in their latest group game in Group One of the Kernow League, but that contest has also fallen foul of the weather.

With Weston-super-Mare already having fixtures to catch up on, the game is likely to be played on April 11, a week before Launceston’s final game of the season, which is a visit from Exeter University.

Sunday’s ladies fixture against Plymstock Albion Oaks is also off, as are all the minis and juniors games.

Crispin Earle, who volunteers helping out at the ground, said: “This morning the first team pitch was virtually underwater. There were puddles everywhere, and all the pitches are waterlogged. In the bottom corner, the river has started to run up onto the pitch."
