BUDE were knocked out of the National Cup after falling to a 19-7 defeat at the hands of their league rivals on Sunday.

The home side showed plenty of determination and grit in defence holding our own for a majority of the match, and massive improvement since our last encounter which they lost 54-19.

At 12-0 down Bude scored through flying full-back Frankie Perry but the Devon side once more to win it.

Forward of the match went to Maxine Holder for her determination and strength at the breakdown, whilst playing out of position and back of the match went to Emma Stefanotti for her defence on the wing.

Bude’s Nicole Rowland said: “After speaking to some of the spectators they described it as one of our better games of rugby with visible improvement and a valiant effort in defence against such a strong side. We would also like to wish the opposition all the best in the rest of their cup matches.”
