DELABOLE Cricket Club managed to complete their 2014 season after looking in dire straits at the start of the campaign.

The arrival of three players who had not competed before, and the return of some veteran players, helped the squad conclude its fixtures. With a full quota, they were able to challenge the other teams and won seven of their last ten matches.

The club is, however, still looking for new players for next season to make the squad even stronger. The club recently held its annual dinner and presentation evening at the Poldark Inn. There was a very good attendance on what was an enjoyable evening for all involved.
