WITH eight wins out of 10 games, and a 29-17 win over Camborne at the weekend, Launceston Rugby Club's second team has enjoyed a very strong start to the season.
Second team rugby at the club is on a high, as further evidenced by the increased match day squad numbers.
Coach Mike Haines, who wants to see continued improvement, commented: "It isn't easy for the squad, being only allowed in the Cornwall Merit Table.
"We are working hard for more testing fixtures and pushing first team players hard for their shirts. With a lot of local boys playing, there is a lot of pride and passion at game time, as well as on training nights."
Newly formed Lanner RFC visit Polson on Saturday (9) for what is expected to be a close encounter; if Launceston are to continue their current form, they will need to be at their best.
