LAUNCESTON Cricket Club took part in the annual NatWest CricketForce weekend for the ninth consecutive year last weekend, when a strong force of volunteers, players, juniors and supporters turned out to get the club ground into shape for the coming season. Cleaning, repairing, seeding, oiling, fetching, carrying; no job was too great for this CricketForce team – and the reward of a pasty lunch was well received and richly deserved. An additional attraction for all was to see how the new pavilion is shaping up; with the roof completed this weekend it should not be long until this wonderful new facility is open for use. A huge amount of work has gone on 'behind the scenes' this winter to get this project off the ground, and all at Launceston Cricket Club look forward to seeing it fully functional this season.
