BUDE Tennis Club got their new season underway with a very successful opening tournament, organised by Claire Cardoo, on Sunday, April 1. The American Doubles format, which involves playing games with and then against your partner, is only played by the club in this first tournament of the year and makes for very varied tennis! Thankfully, the sun was shining and a lovely tea was enjoyed by all, with a particular highlight being Charlotte's scones! The club holds club nights on Mondays and Thursdays from 6pm and visitors or new members are always welcome.
