Summer relay

The first of the summer relays took place at Ivybridge on Friday. Having had amended teams through injuries, Dan Nash was given lead leg of the 'ECH Immortals' and set a new course record in 11:58, some 42 seconds ahead of the next fastest runner.

Supported by Paul Arrowsmith, Alex Coley and Lewis Pullen the team finished ninth overall out of 107 team entries.

The 'ECH Evergreens' of Alan Green, Terry Leech, Mark Andrews and Dave Philp finished in 44th and unfortunately were fourth in their age group finishing immediately after both second and third.

'ECH Ladies Plus One' were 52nd, Jenny Nash, Lucy Oldham, Louise Littlewood and 'Marcia' Doyle completing the four-lap course in 70:37.

The 'ECH Ageless' team of Rob Pick, Jan Sroczynski, Glenn Wood and Dan Nash were 70th in 75:58.

Dan running for the second time that evening and just to prove how well he is running at the moment his second leg was only seven seconds slower than his course record set on his first leg.
